Description: Interested in creating opportunities for parents and guardians to learn together? Be our info-session coordinator! This is a new role, so particularly suited for people interested in starting something from the ground up. This person will work with the board to create a program of informational sessions on topics that are of interest to the school community. Examples of such sessions might include things like workshops for parents on how to talk to kids about internet safety, a session on the history of the Navy Yard, a session on summer camps and programs…really the sky is the limit. The coordinator will be responsible for securing speakers, deciding on format (virtual or in person) and will work with the board to advertise the info sessions to the school community.

Training:  No training required.

Time Commitment:  Several hours upfront to develop the program, and then approximately two hours a month.

Requirements:  This work can be done at home and after hours.
