DCPS has announced that

FULLY VACCINATED CHILDREN DO NOT NEED TO QUARANTINE.

(Fully vaccinated = two weeks past your second shot.)

You read that right. Even if your child winds up being a close contact, fully vaccinated students do not need to quarantine if they are not showing symptoms. (DCPS does recommend that fully vaccinated students who are a close contact take a COVID-19 test between 3 and 5 days after they are exposed. Fully vaccinated people who experience any COVID-19 symptoms should isolate from others, contact their healthcare provider, and get tested for COVID-19.)
